The spirit of the marching band inhabits this unlikely motley crew. Nineteen musicians telling tell a collective story that leaves ample room to improvisation, lights and sounds creating movements and narrations. Well-versed in the technique of soundpainting under the gestural direction of alternating musical directors, the Surnaturals trade ideas in a surrealistic way as jugglers and acrobats do their tricks, under the eyes of a highwire artist, walking and dancing on a tightrope drawn across the stage.
